Webcast: Combining science disciplines for modern cancer treatment

Update:  This webcast is now available in the CERN video archives.

The International Conference on Translational Research in Radio-Oncology and Physics for Health in Europe convenes this week in Geneva. The conference highlights the union of physics, biology and medicine in modern healthcare.

For those unable to attend in person, a webcast of the public lecture “Treating cancer in the XXI century: biology, physics and genomics” will be available here Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. EST, 6:30 p.m. in Geneva.

The speaker, Søren M. Bentzen, hails from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health and holds joint appointments in medical physics and bioinformatics. He will bring together ideas from multiple disciplines to discuss the prospects of personalized cancer therapy.

For locals, the lecture is free and will be held at the Geneva International Conference Center.
