I would like more technical information: what is the intensity/luminosity? How many collisions per second are achieved.
Perhaps an event with jets.

This is a major coup for scientists worldwide who have been arguing about funding for expriments that are of significant medium term
value. The argument that the funds are better spent elsewhere are heard for any expenditure regardless. The fact that CERN has been able to command the respect from worldwide governments to fund and build the LHC deserves applause from us all. I al truly excited about the prospects of the LHC and it’s ability for us to understand more about the world we live in.

The fact that we don’t yet know where these experiments may lead isn’t the end of the world. In fact, it’s kind of the point. We’re wading through unknown territory, but there’s a very good chance that by better understanding the fundamental forces of our universe we can go on to develop technologies that we could never have imagined otherwise.

ZOMG, we are all dead and we don’t even know it yet!

Seriously, though, this is great stuff. I hope even the 7TeV stuff gives us tremendous insight. I don’t want to wait another year or two for something amazing. I hope we find Higgs, and that it asks more questions that it answers, the way physics should be.
